I guess you can ultimately blame the coaches but the first year OC who inherited a cluster? Your best QB is not a 5th year senior with over two years of starting experience or your 4th year junior with a million hours of practice. No, it's a freshman who, no matter how talented is gonna be a deer in the headlights half the time. You have the worst OL in the history of the program that can't block a bad FCS school. The LT is a first year, instant starter from an FCS school. The RT is a guard that should be providing depth. On top of that you have a WR corps with little talent or experience. Your best receiver is 5'6" and the next best guy is only the second SEC quality-#1-WR type guy the program has signed in the last 10 years. So you can't run because you can't block and you can't throw because you can't catch and you can't get all crazy, tricky, nutty complex with the plays or call because your qb barely knows the basic play book. But somehow Chaney was supposed to make all of that work? The man didn't get stupid the minute he came to Athens. He still has problems with his OL but the QB and WR should be OK at this point. Let's see what he can do when he actually has some of the pieces to play with.
