Think you're absolutely right...
It's all about the OL. Previous staff left it a mess. Kirby just signed the best OL class in history but they are only freshman. Throw in the fact that a couple other key cogs (Kindley, Cleveland) are redshirt freshman, that's a ton of newbies.
Also, we are trying to coach up a couple of upperclassmen (Allen, Baker) who never contributed much before. Who knows how all these guys will mesh.
Pieces are getting put in place. They just need experience. OL should be better this year, but by how much? The 2018 OL and beyond will be awesome.
