Won the job and word was it wasn't nearly as close as smart made it out to be to media. Smart talked a good bit about how much eason had improved. ADG makes a great point about Fromm's excellent third down completion % so it might be fair to wonder if eason's would have been as good but then again we might have been more explosive with eason too. Given the improvement by the OL, WR, ST and even the defense as a whole, I think the season would have gone the same. Smart didn't put him back in because he wasn't going to mess with the team chemistry.
