Yep, main reason Clemson is any good

Is that ALL of the teams in the conference who have had any semblance of consistent competitiveness are ALL in historic downturns, namely those four you mentioned.
I mean, it's astonishing how far FSU has fallen so quickly. Miami hasn't had a pulse since Larry Coker left. Louisville was never really any kind of juggernaught, but they are one of the worst teams in P5 right now. And VT, who was traditionally a sight better than UL, ain't much better. It's pretty sad, really. I mean, it very well could be Duke to win the Coastal. Duke! In Football!
