They spend the entire season studying film and prepping for whoever they may be likely to face in the CFP. They completely ignore all of the in-conference tomato cans. Every now and then, they sleepwalk through 3 or 4 full quarters and either barely squeak by or lose. They went to OT vs NC St at home a few years ago because NC St missed a chip shot FG. The year before that, they beat a 5-loss Louisville team by 3 points, and a 3-9 USC team by 5 (who we beat 52-20). Even last year, USC lit up their secondary (but just couldn't do anything on defense).

It's beyond ridiculous.
