Everyone’s talent level dips at some point. Last year, every magazine out there rated our OL as the best or 2nd best in the SEC - Athlon had us top in the Nation.

And you have to compare us to who we play. Florida was a complete mess, especially at OL (DL was about the only position group where anyone ranked them above us). And they wiped the field with us. Talent was not the issue. Ditto the year before. Tennessee was ready to fire their coach until Richt came calling. It wasn’t their overwhelming talent that beat us either, rather Richt’s inability to coach his guys how to cover a freaking kickoff (no way do they go for that 4th down if they start that drive from the 25). No way South Carolina had more talent than we did in 2014, or the three years 2010-12, and we completely out-classed them in 2007. Again, talent was not the problem.

It was an annual occurrence with Richt. You knew that at some point, we were either going to show up totally unprepared, or Richt would make some bone-headed call that would cost us the game. He couldn’t even beat Ron freakin’ Zook! It was something every stinking’ year with that guy. And it wasn’t talent.
