Don't results matter?
When are our fans going to start thinking like winners?
It's true that Notre Dame isn't going to be a pushover, but if Kirby is a winning coach, we SHOULD win this game. If we don't, then it should be considered a disappointment. Fans are already making apologies for a poor performance even before the game is played.
Georgia is coming off a disappointing 8-5 season with a brand new coach.
Notre Dame is coming off a disappointng 4-7 season with an established coach who's been there for 5 years.
Any way you cut it, our avg. rank of 7 in recruiting is better than theirs at 10, so why, based on that comparison should we lose? Yeah, splitting hairs maybe, but the last three recruiting classes were much farther apart than the avg.
So, you're comparing an established team with slightly inferior talent who has underperformed against a brand new team and staff who also underperformed but not as badly, with better talent and a lot of returning jrs. at the top of their game.
Any objective observer would pick Georgia to win every time, at least based on statistics. But of course, Georgia fans aren't objective. We have a severe inferiority complex. If fans ever want things to change they need to start EXPECTING wins when we SHOULD win.
Simple as that.
