We won. That's the bottom line. Was it ugly. Yes it was. It was dreadful. I was there and it felt like a loss and it still does.
Some things. We are a run first team therefore we need road graders on the offensive line. We should look at inserting some of the big uglies asap. We have some Cleveland, Madden, Kinley etc... If they are a little weak in pass pro so be it. The starters now are not getting it done. Gotta make do until Pittman can get his type of linemen in here.
We gotta give some of these young receivers a chance. We have to be able to throw effectively to keep 9 out the box. We are also using up to 3 tight ends and a fullback frequently so that means only 1 or 2 receiver routes. That means there aren't many options for Eason or Lambert until the TE's can release. We are way too predictable on offense and it seems not much different than last year.
Gotta find and coach up a fg kicker. 50% won't get it done. Special teams are a third of the game.
Lastly I have faith in Kirby and staff. Let's go to Mizzou and get our mojo back and play some Georgia football. Go Dawgs!!!
