Scouts are more interested in the individual talent.


Thornwell is not going to be a 1st round pick. He's elevated. He's a mid 2nd round draft pick at best. But he's elevated his stock because he's gone from 13 ppg to 21 ppg. Those numbers jump. he's a guard who averages over 7 rpg. He shoots 44%, which is worse than Leslie, but 40% from 3 which of course is much better than Leslie who couldn't shoot a 3 to save his life. He only attempted 57 in his career at UGA for a reason. Thornwell's taken 138 this year alone. He puts up over 2 spg and 1 bpg. He's a great player college basketball player. And still, he'll be drafted in the exact same spot that Leslie and Thompkins were. Team success really doesn't count for much. That's why Simmons was the #1 pick last year. And very possible that the guy from Washington could be #1 this year(definitely a top 5) and the PG from NCST will also be a top 10 pick
