Richt took over a UGA program that was averaging 8 wins a year (40 wins the previous 5 years) and with an absolutely loaded roster, won ... 8 games. He took over a Miami program that had averaged 7 wins (36 wins the previous 5 years) and with a good-but-not-great roster, won 9 games.
His first signing class at Miami was as good if not better than nearly every class they'd had in a decade or so. And he seems to be building a good class this year as well (link below):
